Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and Dwellsee ("we" or "us"). Dwellsee is run by an individual in the UK, not a company or a regulated firm. By creating an account or using Dwellsee, you agree to them. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your data.

A free service

Dwellsee is free to use. We keep improving it, so features may change, move or be removed, and things may occasionally break. If we ever plan to charge, we'll tell you well in advance, and you won't pay anything unless you choose to.

Not financial advice

Dwellsee provides information and projections, not personal financial advice. It doesn't recommend products or tell you what to do, and we aren't authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

  • Projections are estimates based on your inputs and assumptions. They are not guarantees.
  • Investments can fall as well as rise.
  • The UK tax and pension rules built in are simplified and may not match your situation or the latest changes.

Before making big decisions, get guidance or advice. MoneyHelper is free and backed by the government, and Pension Wise offers free guidance if you're 50 or over and have a defined contribution pension. For personal advice, speak to a regulated financial adviser.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or over.
  • An account is for one person. Use an email address you can receive codes at.
  • Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us at contact@dwellsee.com straight away if you think someone else has got in.

Your data

Your figures belong to you. You let us store and process them only to run Dwellsee for you. You're responsible for what you enter and whether it's accurate: projections are only as good as the figures behind them. Only enter someone else's details if they're happy for you to.

We take care of your data, but we can't promise to recover something you've changed or deleted, so keep your own records of anything important.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • try to get into anyone else's account or see anyone else's data;
  • probe, scan or test Dwellsee for weaknesses without our written permission;
  • scrape Dwellsee or reach it by automated means, other than through apps you connect or tools we provide;
  • overload or disrupt the service, or create accounts in bulk;
  • use Dwellsee for anything unlawful, or to abuse or harass anyone, including through feedback.

If you find a security problem, please tell us at contact@dwellsee.com rather than testing it further.

Connected apps

You can choose to connect Claude, made by Anthropic, to ask questions about your figures. It can read your figures, and can change them only if you give it write access: a separate permission that needs two-step sign-in on your account, where Dwellsee previews each change to Claude and asks it to check with you, and the change is saved only once Claude confirms it. Your use of Claude is covered by your own agreement with Anthropic, and we aren't responsible for Claude's service, its answers or the changes it makes for you. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, under Connected apps.

Suspending or ending

  • You can stop using Dwellsee at any time, and delete your account yourself in Settings, under Your data.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and explain why.
  • We may close Dwellsee altogether. If we do, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email, so you can download a copy of your data.

Our responsibility to you

Dwellsee is provided free and "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't promise that it will always work, be error-free, or suit your purposes.

Dwellsee is for personal use. We aren't responsible for decisions you make based on it, for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn't allow us to limit, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or your legal rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can stop using Dwellsee and delete your account. The version and date at the top show which terms you're reading.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
